One Killed In Two-Vehicle Crash In Massachusetts

A driver in Western Massachusetts has died of his injuries after a two-car crash.

The crash took place around 4:20 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 4, on Verge Street in Springfield.

According to Springfield Police Spokesman Ryan Walsh, officers were called to the scene of a two-car crash on the 100 block of Verge Street.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found a severely injured man who died before he could be taken to a hospital.

During a press conference on Friday, Nov. 5, Springfield Police Commissioner Cheryl Clapprood said a driver crossed the center line and hit a van head-on during the crash.

The Springfield Police Traffic Unit is investigating.
